I am thinking what sort of sub's i want to get for my go-go mobile. I have been looking at (KFC-W3009) Kenwood 12" , 800W but i dont know how they will perform because i havnt heard them yet.
From experience, does anybody know if these are any good??

Ok then, how about this. People have said to me not to get anything SONY except for maybe the head unit. This being said, are there 12" 1200W sub's any good, are they better then the kenwood??

I personally would steer clear of kenwood speakers/subs. Same with Sony. But I do like Sony headunits. Very well built and usually packed with features. Just went shopping with my mate the other week and bought one.

But like anything it boils down to price and what you enjoy. i'd suggest you have a listen, pretty sure these subs wont be too hard to find and audition.

Peace

JBL GT4-12's (see avatar) - around $150-160 from any Strathfield Car Radios.

Pioneer 305C sealed box for $149 on special, JBL GT4-12 Ported Boxed $229. The Pioneer will win on SQ although not by much but the JBL will be easily wound up with a sensitivity 4db higher than the pioneer added with the box design will be my choice. Just remember that is for sub + box. :D

Pioneer Make Reasonable Subs for the Money..
If you are after a Budget Sub check out Clarion's V-Nett range and for the Ultimate in Audio Blingery a JVC Strobo woofer would do a nice job and go hard for the Money..
Just Avoid JVC's Warren G Subs as they are the same as the Kenwoods and Sony's

Just a thought - if your looking at buying 2 subs at 150ish each...you may well find better results with one better sub at $300ish..depends on what our after though. (bear in mind 1 sub takes up less spce..can be positioned for loading a whole lot easier and can generally be easier (and cheaper) to amp up)

Good luck and have fun whatever you go for!

havent had much experiance with subs, but with speakers ive had a variety of kenwoods and pioneers, and pumped them to there max, and they have lasted for agggges. i would reccomend kenwood/pioneer for speakers on the low budget scale highly. go kenwood

There amps are a little better though, but for the $$$ you can get tonnes better.

once again here i go without reading anything but the first post.. umm those are great subs for the money.. put together with a half decent mono block and 2 of the subs u will get alot of bass.. yet dont expect much for sound quality just expect alot of doof doof.. i had 2 of the old old versions of those (blue cones) running off a alpine 350 rms monoblock and 1 of them was in a brocken box and i have to say i was very very impressed very doof doof good buy if u ask me.. u can find em for down to 100 each just make sure u buy an amp that can provide from 200 - 400 rms each and they will sound great
