guys/gals who changed their timing belts before, what tools do i need? is it difficult to remove the timing belt cover? lastly, is it possible to tell if a timing belt is close to worn already?

These posts are common.
The job is simple, you will have to remove your engine mount and front pulley, not all that difficuly just fiddly

thought it's just the belt cover at the side? do i have to remove the mounts and pulley?

have a look at a manual mate, I did one today but went a bit furthur changing seals and one cam pully when i busted it.
It is easy and yes you do have to remove the mount, the CAS, front pully, the mounting bracket off the block, altinator, the power steering bracket, the air con, and you also have to know how to re set the tensioner.
