Noticed that my rev counter on my TP wagon aint working, when i turn the key to start, it does jump a fraction, but nothing else.

Every thing else on there works fine, though the fuel guage is out...common problem ive noticed by surfing the forums.

Has any one any ideas on

1. how to check power to the cluster panel - rev counter
2. wiring diagram for this area.
3. how to remove the cluster panel if needed.
4. where does the wiring trace back to in the engine bay, or is it all electrical.
5. is this a common problem.
6. if it is, has some one got an Instrument cluster for an AUTO TP Wagon! they wanna sell:cool:

I was unplugging a few plugs under the passenger side dash, to fit speakers, but all seem to be re connected and everything else is 100%..except that fuel guage!

any help much appreciated.

Well at the back of the instument cluster is a small black chip near the tacho area, Thats normally the problem either buy a new dash or take it to a auto elec, Repco can normally order one in for you.

Any way of finding that out...when you say replace...do you mean repco have the chip..or the actual entire cluster
