ok so I checked the wiring from the coil and i have power there, I also checked power to the cluster and found the right wire, it flashed/flickered with my power light tester.
So where to now...is the fact that my fuel guage is reading almost empty that i need another 7v regulator...does this effect the tacho...
far as i know the 7v regulator only affects the fuel and temp guage.
You got a carby or EFI? i think the efi version gets the RPM off the dizzy?

Ive got the Carb version, I found thru the forums the wire leading from the coil...thru to the dizzy....and put the tester on the wire to the tacho...the light on the tester flickers, so that a god sign!....but the tacho doesnt respond...on start up she jumps that fraction...but no more...ay ideas....stil loooking for that black chip I was told to check!
maybe go to an auto elec which specialises in instruments, he could at least test it for ya
