I was looking at the ID plates on my GF's car yesterday and noticed something strange.
It is a TR and has compliance and build dates in October 91.
rego is on the 21th of May, this car still has the original number plates.
BUT it also has an LPG system and it has an instalation date on the LPG plate of
20th May 91, the tank has a manufacture date of 9/91.
All VIN's match and ID plates have factory pot rivots, there is no sign of a rebirth
why the hell is the LPG instalation plate dated earlier than the build date????
I was thinking that this car could have been used uncomplianced for LPG R&D for the first few months of it's life and then it was complianced later,
or someone stuffed up the date on the LPG plate and wrote 91 instead of 92  which i think is more likely.
TR EFI sedan was released in April 1991.
