Hi Guys
Ok basically need a quick answer I picked up some high quality ducting from an industrial store today opened up my bonnet shoved it down the gap only to find out I can't get it anywhere near my fog light hole! It goes straight down to that drip tray thingy on the bottom of my car and I can see it through the fog light hole but theres a big chunk of metal blocking me getting to the hole so atm my tube is pointing straight down. Someone with a tj please tell me we can get to the fog light hole!
thanks in advance

yeah mate its an auto :(
killer across the road has cai into his auto te without problems but I can't go look at it atm
I'm just wondering if one of the tj upgrades was a big barrier between the airbox and the fog light hole!

mines a manual buddy,a nd i knwo the exact piece of metal ur talkin about. i had the same problem, but ended up fitting it through one side of the metal bar. so there is a pint of my ducting where it becomes narrow, but apart from that its fine. hhhmm is urs that bad?

Thanks for that trav I just ran out and took some piccies to demonstrate whats going on. Even if I get it past the metal bar and piece of plastic/metal I would then have to go upwards to get to the fog light hole?
in the last piccy the bottom arrow is where the pipe is going to and the top arrow is the fog light hole
please keep any advice coming!

Dude mines an auto and i got mine in ok i guess apart from some hoses and the auto transmission fluid sump. You should have got the house ducting from like bunnings or mitre 10 that stuff twists heeps better and gets to the area u want fairly easy

It can be done, its just takes a whole load of forcing.

thanks for the replies guys. I didn't want to push and pull to hard and I figured bends and kinks in the tube would defeat the purpose. This ducting if I can get it installed should be fantastic for the job it's what the industial guys use for cai and turbos apparently pity it won't go anywhere near the fog hole though. Will have to take another look today but I honustly can't see how I'm meant to get passed the plastic wall (if it wasn't there i'd have a straight run to the hole.

Got a pic of this stuff? Kinks and sharp bends are bad. I was thinking of seeing if it could sit behind the radiator but it's got the fans in the way so flow won't be too good.

What if you shortned the Black tubing and then used a short peice of that silver/insulation tubing that is more flexible and bendable to reach to the fog light hole?

yeah that may work phonic but it's not the optimal setup :( I've never heard this mentioned of before so i'm wondering if this plastic panel is only on the tj auto. I havn't got a photo but the gap between the plastic and metal is about 5cm so hardly enough and even if I get it through the gap I'll then have to bend 90degrees to get it to the hole. Really weird maybe I'm not threading the tubing from the top down correctly but there is only one bit of open space I can see and this is it
