Just picked up my new car on the weekend, 2002 Manual VR-X.


What would anyone recommend for exhuast system on a TJ VR-X, want something with a bit more growl and of course a bit more go than the stock system.

X-Force or Magnaflow muffler with 2.5" stainless catback.

What has the VR-X got stock? is it about the same?

as for exhaust.. most of them have gone the redback, xforce and magnaflow track.. i'd recommend the magnaflow as they sounds fookin amazing!!

Is there any power gain on the VRX stock system?

My New Toy

Flew up to Adelaide on Saturday morning, and drove her back to Melbourne.
(Still a little excited)

Now the fun part, spending money on it!

Yes there is, the standard vrx exhaust is a tri-flow muffler and also apparently the pipes arnt quite 2.5" so if you go the redback system (thats 2.5" from catback and then a straight through muffler) you should get some gains and also it sounds alot deeper.

The above was my car, its to give you an idea on what a redback system sounds like.
