Has anyone ever changed the bump stop in the rear of a wagon? I have had my wagon slighly lowered with kings springs.
Have never been satisfied with the ride in the rear of the wagon. Way to firm for something only lowered a little. Had the rear wheels off the other day and noticed that where the bump stop meets the axle it is shiny being it has worn all the paint off the axle and obviously gets a workout.

Had a look under the car when the wheels were back on and car back on ground and bump stop is no where near touching axle and even got someone to bounce in back of wagon and still doesnt get near touching the axle but obviously it does touch a lot when driving. I never have a load on the rear so its not a matter of carrying to much load.

RACV said i could reduce the bump stop by 30mm same as the lowering of the car to keep it legal in their policy.

Has anyone done this before to a wagon? If so, does it affect anything such as bottoming out shocks or does anything hit the axle with the extra travel such as exhaust?

Im guessing if i can give the rear suspension more travel then the ride quality might improve.

Any advice would be great.
