My latest trip to my local dealer included:

1x New Ralliart Badge
1x Passenger side air bag cover
1x New trim at bottom of front windscreen.
1x New Rear windscreen - Seals had gone.

My clutch issues still haven't been fixed though, maybe tomorrow.

Better built, better backed....

You don't happen to be in Sydney at all mate? I'm just wondering who are the best mitsubishi dealers around for warranty repairs.

I've got mine coming up for a warrenty service too. The series 2 badge fell off the back of the car due to the poor glue they used for the badge, I'll try and get another one. My rear window seal squeeks as well. Also, I suspect the front might be doing something similiar.

My passenger airbag cover is warped too, Im getting them to replace it but they are trying to make a 100 excuses.

Is there anything else I should look out for?

Just out of interest; what happened to your Ralliart badge (was it stolen?) and what was the problem with the passenger airbag cover??

The ralliart badge kept going white in colour and the airbag cover had pulled away from it's normal resting position.

The badges all go white. Even you're new one will unless they've fixed the problem which I doubt. I have just periodically cleaned it with a cutting compound wax which gets rid of the white. Next time I think I'll clean it with steel wool and apply a urethane coating which should fix it permanently. :doubt:

Creaking rear window syndrome is pretty common on these cars. I had mine replaced also under warranty.

Just had the upper drivers side engine mount replaced also.

What's wrong with your clutch AKKO?

My clutch slips badly, especially noticable when going up slight inclines at low speed and when taking off, gear changes are also really notchy 1-2.

My Ralliart badge gets a few white-ish flecks on it straight after I've washed it for some reason. I just give it a gentle wipe with a dab of polish and it comes up a treat.

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that my 2-3 upshift is starting to get a bit notchy. Hmmm....

Slipping clutch doesn't sound too good AKKO.

My shifts are still nice and smooth but I get some bad shudder sometimes through the drivetrain when going slow in car parks. It's a bit better with the new engine mount but it's still bad. I reckon it's got a lot to do with the soft rubber in the mounts.

I wanted to keep the old mount as an exchange unit for an RPW polyurethane one but they won't let you keep them if it's a warranty job.

Seems like some common problems. I just had the engine mount done. At the next service i've told em that i have a list of things to be done/checked:
Boot spoiler = full of water
Pass Side Airbag cover is coming up at the edges
the Ralliart badge is coming away from it's backing
creeking back window and sunroof(also rattles)
plastic at base of windscreen needs replacing.
2nd gear syncro has issues and i question the rest of em.

Nice list isn't it, sounds like common probs though.

Yeah my spoiler had water in it, seems to have drained out since I last noticed the wish wash noise when I opened and closed my boot lid.

Apparently there is a revised seal kit available for the Ralliart spoilers in order to stop this.

I had water in my spoiler so I drilled a 2mm hole underneath at the lowest point and a jet of water shot out about 4 feet! You can't see the hole and it doesn't fill with water anymore but then again it doesn't rain here anyway :D .

next time my ralliart goes in i gotta get them to replace something in the gear knob, when it is on tight it sits 90 degree's clockwise from centre-pain in the arse

If you mean that the knob is rotated and doesn't sit with the H pattern facing the right way. you can take the knob off and there is a plastic insert that comes out(falls out as it may be) that can be rotated to line it up properly.

Let's see..... (mine has only 26,000kms)

1) New rear spoiler (wasn't worth replacing seal kit due to leaks)
2) Passenger Airbag cover replaced
3) Replacement handbrake shoes
4) Rattle from RHS front suspension (twice for this)
5) Front left sail seal
6) Rear Window
7) Rear Window again (And teflon taped)
8) Rear Window pulled out and resealed again (still no joy, worse then ever)
9) Paint defect on bonnet. Resprayed twice to fix it!

Rear window still creaks like crazy and the poofters don't want to fix it. Why? Because they can't work out how. An email to Mitsubishi (build crap cars) Motors HO landed me a phone call to which i explained the car has been in service centres that many times for warranty and she said she would look into it and get back to me. Well it has been 6 weeks since and no calls.

Mitsubishi can shove their cars up their arse as far as i concerned. Poorer built, shockingly backed.

Ive got this problem to, taking her in to RPW on pay-day to get some poly mounts installed. Also looking to invest in a whiteline anti-lift kit to.

Let us know what you think of the polly mounts as i'd be interested also.
Definatly get the anti-lift kit, makes a world of difference to traction off the line and to the torque steer. The next thing to do then would be to upgrade the rear sway bar.

I'd be real interested in whether it fixes the problem with you're car. I'll order one immediately if it does.
