Has anyone with a Ralliart installed a Unichip or similar and measured the gains (if any) on a dyno? Thinking about one but not sure if the gains are worth the $$$.

Yep, nice improvement! bout 10% extra peak power and torque and a fair gain over most of the range. The extra torque is noticable so is the extension of the power past 5500revs. The graph of before is with the muffler and filter which had added a few kw's over stock. Plus: better on fuel.

Mmm - so you gained around 13KW. Out of interest, what rear muffler did you change to and how much was it? Has it made the "drone" louder?

I'm interested in starting to do some mods now to the Ralliart so all info appreciated.

Should be a bit over 200kw at the flywheel now theoreticaly. the muffler is a stainless lukey 3" canon style thing with the stock tip put on it. see: http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showpost.php?p=245985&postcount=41
cost bout $300 for the muffler cos it's a polished stainless one. You can hear it round town but no worse than normal on the highway. Very quiet in comparison to the system that was on my TS. You can go a 2.5" but the 3" is quieter.

Kewl... I have heard about the Lukey LR2279 but i really don't want anything much louder then the stock Ralliart Muffler so maybe the LR2279 is the go with a Unichip. I'd be happy with around 190Kw at the flywheel but gotta start somewhere to get some more ponies from it.

I put the Unichip in with the Lukey LR2279 muffler on my Ralliart with good results.

Gained 13kw at the wheels.

But, i found the Lukey to be too restrictive and way too quiet, not sure if it is any better than the original muffler.

My advice is to just get a sports muffler or mall cannon with the Unichip. Will give it a bit more noise but nothing too major if you leave the resonators in.

Looking around $1500 for the Unichip and muffler/cannon supplied and installed.

Certainly worth the money.

there is a new unichip due to be released soonish that will out date the current unichip (so i have been told by my mechanic) with a few more adjustable settings. might be worth the wait, mind u for a car like ours that wont see a truck load of huge internal mods, the current unichip will do the job just fine by my standards

Put mine in and went from 143.5 to 152.8 kw at wheels. I reckon the power increase is worth the price ($1200) with tuning and before and after dyno.

could all you guys feel the power difference, cause there are lots of ways to tamper with dyno readouts.....

Can feel it for sure!

Plus: I watched them do the whole thing :)
