View Full Version : Touch up paint in Kmart
Hi there
I have several scratches at my bumper and want to paint them. How I can match the colour of my car with number of touch-up bottles in Kmart? I found paint number is TP on the plate near the engine. Any advice (e.g. other place to get proper paint)? I have Magna TJ 2001 dark red (cherry) colour.
Thank you.

Hey mate, sounds like you have Seinna Red, the same as me.
All i did was go to a panel beater and they mixed me up some paint. Might cost you more than Kmart but atleast the colour will be spot on!

Im not sure as the particular panel beater is my mate, so, he just gave it to me. He mixed me up a full coffee jar full. He said its enough to spray the whole side of a car. Reckons it was worth around $50-$100.
Obviously you dont need that much so i guess a small jar might cost $20-$40.

i went to auto pro (most auto shops would do it anyway).. gave them the paint code and they mixed up a large aerosol can and charged $20 for it..relatively cheap if it's just for a touch up, but if you want to paint your bumper etc.. better of getting panel beater or spray painter to do it anyway....
Thanx, mates... At least I know the name of "paint" :bowrofl:
No, I really don't care about 100% match in colour - I just don't like black spot on the corner of my bumper. That is all.

We have a place here in Tassie called Colourworld. I took the paint number in and they mixed me a small bottle with a brush (it's amazing how many colours go into the dark blue!). It cost about $15.00
