can anyone tell what size i can go up from 235/45/17?? want somthin little higher and wider if possible cheers stacky

Ive heard alot of people have trouble with the tyre scraping the guards etc with tyres any wider than 235.
also it all depends on whether ur 17" rim can hold a tyre with that width

If you have 8 inch rims with 35 to 38 offset you can run 245/45/17's no probs .If you have 40 offset rims be carefull of clearance to the rear control arm. The only scaping you my get in my expereince is the front plastic under guard at the front of the wheel arch,cable tie fixed this :)
You will gain approx 12mm in height over the 235 and a bit more width. Velocity is now running 245's on his TT :cool:

are you talking about tyres that are wider than 8"? im not sure if theyd fit too easy.... ive got 235/45/R17 and by the looks of it...any wider any theyll scrape....sorry if im way off the mark here in what your asking :confused:

thanks guys, yep got plenty of room on rim and under guards jus gotta find a tyre now, :confused:
