Just wondering what the frequency is for an auto trans fluid change on a 97 TF 3.0?

The manual says 60,000 - just wondering if this has changed since the manual was printed?

Just on taht topic can i also ask, difference between transmission oil change and a transmission service(flush or soemthing, i dont really know). would the oil change be enough to maybe make your gear changes better, or a full service is needed?

Not to sure but I had to replace my whole gearbox at 120,000 k's so id say maybe a little sooner than that to be on the safe side. It still baffles me that a company can offer a 10 year warranty on engine and drive train components but claim ignorance when I asked them what happened to me a year ago especially considering that the auto box would have remained largely unchanged from TE to TL. :rant: :nuts:

that all depends on whats really wrong with ur gear changes. but i'd change the oil first see wether it changes smoother. no point spending huge amount a money getting some one to inspect it when it may be just thin transmission fluid. (make sure right one goes in though)
