Just done the 274mm single piston to 294mm twin piston front swap and I want to replace the rubber lines with braided lines.
Has anyone done this and have they noticed any benefits.

I don't know of anyone who's done "Braided Brake lines" on a 3rd Gen, but I definelty could be wrong so don't quote me.
I'd be interested in hearing more about the Brake mods you've just completed tho!!! Is that the AWD spec brakes you're referring to?
PHOAR - just looked at your profile. Car sounds mad. What cams you running?

If you look under http://www.braidedhoses.com.au/.
In vic they charge $125 each line.
I have upgraded 99 th exceutive to uprated brakes for the track days I do, with the intention of also upgrading the rear to 286mm up from 258.
I will let you know how it goes.

I didn't think that braided lines were legal for street use as they don't allow you to inspect the hose for cracks/perishing etc.

  Just looked at link... err... oops.
...that have pledged to manufacture your Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses to comply with the requirements of the Australian Design Rule (ADR)."
Pledged... unusual phraseology.

I'll admit - I like the idea alot. But for $125 per corner - makes it hard to justify for a mere 'daily driver'.
But as you've said - you do occasional track work + your car/money. Since you're into the track scene - I'd be asking some ppl in the "Street Reg" and "improved production" classes wether they feel its a worthwhile upgrade.

My old man makes braided lines, all ADR approved...no idea on cost though. They won't make much difference with the small length of rubber hosing on magnas. I've done them on my 2nd gen, same short length as 3rd gens..and nil difference.

if you think thats bad, its $125 for a braided brake line for just the front brake on my motorbike and its not very long at all!
