I just installed a powerchip into my Verada it goes like a dream take in mind that in have installed extractor and cold air intake ect!
ITS THE BEST $750.00 I HAVE SPENT ON THIS CAR?
TAKE IN MIND POWER INCREASE WILL RANGE FROM 15 TO 20 KW

15-20kW? With what other mods?
Just a powerchip/unichip with a CAI and exhaust I would doubt would get these sort of gains.
Do you have the dyno sheets to prove this '15-20kW' claim?

Got a dyno sheet to back it up?
There have been a number of people on here who have had powerchips installed with no change in performance at all.

Yes i was one of them. I actually dyno'd the car aswell with and without

sorry Cthulu - I edited instead.
I would expect maybe 2-3kw over most of the range, maybe 5kW at one point without any other mods.
Driveability would be better, as would fuel economy, but this does not mean you have '15-20kW extra'.
Once you start talking cams, porting, rising rate FPV - then you may get your 15-20kW because the chip tunes your engine properly with all the mods you have thrown at it.
Mind you, I am going to put a ported throttle body on, which leans the rich low end of the magna engine, which doesn't increase power but improves torque down low, hence the driveability of the car. For $90, I reckon it would do the same as a X-chip.

Just remember this Verada has pulled a 13.9 second quarter :bowrofl:

Accoding to Bitola profile the power 'at the wheels' was 187kW. Oh ok, sure. :gtfo:

Umm... I think these chips are a generic tune and not tuned to the car. If so, it assumes too much.

Ported as in high flowed? If so, that mod only increases throttle responce, not low rpm torque and if torque at a point is increased, so is power.

Yeah. Reminds me of a Verada owner I spoke to once and he was telling me about his 3.6l Verada which only had it's ECU re-tuned, $2000 exhaust system and a pod filter and he was running 13's. Even spanked a so called turbo Magna in Brisbane one night and beats WRX's easy. :bowrofl:

You would wonder why you would lie in a magna forum, its not like we dont know what our cars put out. Whats a worked ralliart put out 150kw or so at the wheels?

Yup. Go figure
HP maybe, kW, no way.

Hey redav, I am fully spanking porsche GT3's NOW, it's like fully sik!!! :bowrofl:
Nah we need a dyno sheet for proof of this massive increase in powah.

Mine only puts 152.8 ATW after CAI, high flow sport mufler and unichip retuned for my mods. So ....... :doubt:

You asking him or me? If it's me, I'm serious bout the power, sarcastic when I say "only". Fact is I doubt that a Verada with the stated mods would reach that kind of power ATW. Maybe, and I say MAYBE, ATF.

see this is what i dont get.... i have a mate who have stage 3 cams .... ( bigger than ralliart cams) full zorst system CAI and has been chipped and only just put out 140 atw's ..... ive got 123 atw's yet his car seems a hell of alot faster than 17 kws to mine!! and the ralliart just has ralliart cams new ecu and cai = zorst and it well and truely beats the magna with stage 3 cams :S ....
i think dyno charts are unreliable

Only way is to get both cars on the same dyno & same day.. OR same drag strip & same day

Absolutely right. You can't get hung-up on the dyno numbers from lots of different shops at different times.

Dude, there's more to like than peak power. It's probably got 50% more torque across the rest of the rev range.

That would be correct, however I believe Unichips are done on a Dyno, and they are specifically tuned to the mods you have. I will stand corrected if I am incorrect.

Yes, ported as in high-flowed. It does increase power down low as I am running rich (dyno sheet with AFR's to prove it), and since this will increase the amount of air flowing into the engine at low revs (along with the throttle response, less foot required to open the throttle etc), it will make a little more power down low - but only a tiny amount. It's more about driveability than anything else, a little more urge down low (damn K&N panel  ) will make things nicer.
The injectors are already dumping too much fuel down the runners, more air will hopefully bring it back to a 12.5:1 ratio area and as you know, correct tune produces the most power and torque.
Once this is done, I will dump it on the dyno again and give it a run for comparisons. I don't claim any gains without one, flawed as they may be.

That would be what i call 'drivability'! :D
