Im thinking of getting a cannon...I was wondering if anyone has had many problems with large cannons??

Those who had them...did you like them??

Im thinking of getting a cannon with a 7" barrel and 4.5" tip straped to my 3rd gen...anyone have a similar sized cannon?? Or do you think i should go a smaller one??

I think cannons are overated noisy buggers.
And without heaps of visual mods they look out of place, and most the time you see them is on little hondas and stuff.
But hey, whatever floats ya boat.

do u like loud noise? if u do, then ull love it
some people hate em

alot of people have cannons. so its not uncommon, makes the car sound different. and small performance gain :confused:

Well...I currently have a TJ sports exhaust on my TF (cat back)...its nice...but not beefy enough...It sounds nice around 2000rpm...but not loud or beefy enough...

mind you i want to go a full cat back exhaust at the same time...2.5" mandrel bent with 2x 3" resinators...

Thoughts??

I reckon if your car is basically stock then the cannon will look rather bad....very outta place. A cannon would suit a car that looks phat already IMO :sick:

my turbosmart mufflers are about the same size, but are a "dumper" type, so i could sit them right up under the bumper without it really hanging down, thats the only thing i don't like about some cannons on magnas, they really need to be cut into the bumper properly, or hidden as much as possible

I can't remember, what sort of noise do you get out of yours asylum? Fairly deep, but still loud? Or the cannon sound?

My friends girl friend has a camry with a cannon but the whole muffler is in plain site and looks ****, so like asylum sed you would need to either get tilted down so its like a dumper, hide it completley or else go to a plastics place and get a plastic welding kit just to cut out a mould. You would need to toucj up the paint to finish the look but if done well i would look killer.

I have a Double Carbon Fibre Cannon Muffler (That is 2 cannons side by side :P) on my TH wagon and a High Flow Cat and it sounds nice, People are looking for a Jap Import but then a Magna comes screaming past, So far all the guys and girls that have heard it and seen it love it, Big Cannons tend to vibrate alot making it sound like a giant blow fly. There are a few that get around Tassie with Big Cannons and they sound ok, But take this into note that you will get alot of noise from them, I dont care but i will be sound deadning my back end later anyways (make way for Boot install, Yes in a wagon i know i have no boot lol )

nah, mine doesn't really sound much like a cannon at all really... the only mods to the exhaust system is from the rear wheels back... other than that it's 100% stock.

it's not really overally loud, but very deep and burbles tonnes! i get really bad drone in the car up hills etc though

first get rid of the towball it will look outta place with a canon, id prefer i nice barrel muffler myself that sits up outta the way of speedhumps and the like

CAnnos don't really got that well with these sort of car thats just my opinion, Like think about it a Holden with a cannon whats the first thing that comes to your mind.... WHY WHY WHY ???? Trust me mate just get a better 2 1/2" all the way throught with a LUKEYS muffeler and nice tip it will sound better and look better

Personal taste i think. the farty arty cannon r cheap anything like autotenca and repco cannons r nasty like a big dirty fart on blow fly, Like frost said he dual cannon on the wagon sounds nice (not cheap these puppies) and the same as mine a $240 Genie cannon. that had time taken to look good and not hanging out sideways. but as i first said its all down to personal taste. if you want a cannon it would be a lukey, Genie, Momo($455)very nice sound, and other top brands are the go.
