My sons Tp 1990 EFI we have had the head off replaced exhaust valves and the lash adjusters but the lash adjusters are holding the valvs partially open hence no compression .
Primed the lash adjusters before fitting etc cant work it out any one have any ideas :bowrofl:

did you lap the valves with some valve grinding paste first if so did you make sure you never went to far and the valves are seating to deep and the valves you replaced were the same height as the old ones
when i replace valves or lash adjusters i take out the plugs and turn the motor by key for thirty seconds every minute for four or five minutes why i do this is because when you bleed the ajusters and they are cold they can hydraulic lock hence hold the valve open did you make sure the valve timing was put back the right way (eg. No. 4 cyl valves rocking on tdc)
