does anyone know when the auto gearbox is faulty, the car lets you know by flashing the gear position lights on the instrument panel or gear shift panel? i thought i read that in the manual before but anyone know the specifics?

Yea, I think from memory the 'N' light should start flashing :?

Yep been there done that. My old man's 96 TE 3.0L Gearbox had a problem and the N started flashing. Get it to a mitsu dealer asap if thats the case.

I can't remember exactly...but it's something like...

If it flashes slowly then the auto is overheating. If it flashes rapidly then there's something wrong with the auto itself.

does it flash in the normal green on the instrument panel?

Yes the N should flash on the instrument cluster. The faster it does the more seriouse apparently so.

what about if the drive 'D' doesnt show up? is that just an out led or something?
all the other digits light up cept that one..

My TE does exactly the same thing. All light up on the dash indicator except the 'D' :?

are yous complaining about the drive light??

My mate told me it never goes on?? so i never woried about it!!

U only worry about it whenthe n light comes on! i think :P

same here, but i've seen some other car with D light on, civic's/lancer's, not magna since none of my friend owns one...
