hi all am new to this site so hopefully im doing this thread right...

i recently bought a '97 magna and after owing a XR8 for the past 5 yrs am missing the power of a big engine...now the question is, the magna is pretty much stock standard (except rims/tint etc) what modifications could i do to produce more power?

what exhaust systems are the best for this type of car?

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Christine

Get a set of Extractors RPW or Pacemaker seem to be the popular choices and replace the rear either muffler or rear section.
2 available are by Lukey exhausts....these are made for the magna.
Muffler - LR2779
Rear Section - AL4-5597

I have fitted the LR2779 gave it a nice note while not being too loud, made the engine rev free-er with a bit more sting not much but noticble.
Install a pod, CAI kit, fit cams(there is a group buy happening atm Im pretty sure), bigger throttle body.

This would give noticable improvement I'd say upto 170kw from std 143kw.

If you wanna go serious power, you can get turbo or supercharger setups to suit. Someone did the first supercharged VRX and it has about 240kw by memory.

Hope this helps.
