View Full Version : Vr-x
About 2 months ago I paid $26k for my VRX from aussiefleetsales. I know its alot to pay, but they're rare where I live (central coast) especially for black. It's done about 80k kms. I got about 2 months warranty with it. There's nothing wrong with it thus far. You lose your guts when it's in semi-automatic, it throws your head back hard. From what I hear, its been chipped.
http://eftel.com/~stuff__187/koma's%20VRX/ Some pics.
What I want to know, is do all vr-x's come with full leather, full electric, dead black tint, sunroof, ect ect..
I think i've seen some pics with cloth interior, ****ty rear spoilers, no fog lights ect..
Do you guys know any more info about the vr-x's, comments, questions, general discussion in this thread much appreciated.

Series 1 VRX's came with crappy looking 16" alloys, series 1.5 and 2 came with 17 inch alloys standard.
Series 1.5 and 2 comes with Climate control, splits, trip computer and digital ODO.
All came with fog lights, spoilers, bodykit.
The tint of your car is simply aftermarket stuff and your leather looks aftermarket? Is it all leather or is the black material? I havent seen that as an option! I also havent seen those dials either unless they were in a Walliart.. Youve also got the silver trim console (known to ralliarts)
O and 26K is a crazy price to pay for a VRX with 80,000ks on it.. But if youve got the money to waste, then it was a good deal! Think you got a half breed wolliart/vrx

how was ur dealing with aussiefleetsales? I found them to be awful... Good when they WANT u to buy it... But after you bought it they dont wanna know ya... I paid more than I should have too... But that was my mistake not enough research. I would never buy from themn again
LOL! Aussie fleet sales are a bunch of ******s.
I dont know much about the vr-x's, thats why I'm asking. Mine's a genuine VRX. The badge says so.
As far as I know, it all looks stock, theres no grind marks on any bolts, no loose folds, and the door's trim looks like it hasnt been removed.
I dont have alot of cash to throw around, about the same as every car entheusiast.
I have a thing about having an average car. I'd rather pay a little more and have the sports or highclass version rather than rice the fu***r out.
Just some general specs, my vrx has: Climate control, fog lights, electric sunroof, full leather interior (nothing looks mismatched at all), semi-automatic, traction control (on\off), ABS, stock (5 of them) rims, stock body kit, From what the sales guys tell me - its had a chip upgrade. It feels like it does 0-100 alot faster than 7 second bracket. I installed a bigass stereo [15 incher 1500watt sub, 1000watt amp, ect ect wank wank], the tint does look aftermarket; it looks darker than in the pics, uh.. thats all I can think of at the moment.
I just litterally uploaded some more pics to my host site, hope they help.

But as i was saying, the centre console is silver (ralliart option), the dial face is red (ralliart option).
The leather in your car is aftermaket though, i havent seen any leather options like that before. (and thats not a bad thing! so long as its quality!). Is the black material leather? or fabric? on your seats.
i saw an add from mitsu in a motor mag a few years back for the VR-X's (a limited edition or something) and it had red dials and red leather inserts, i'll try find it but i have seen this combo before

The two tone, fabric/leather with the red dials and silver console, is all standard on the limited edition VRX, sunroof would have been an option.
I looked at one before buying my VRX, but they all seem to be auto!
Anyways, nice car mate, welcome to the club.

I can't get over the 3 months warranty - most decent dealers offer 3 years on recent used cars! But still, all water under the bridge now - its a nice car - good luck!
BTW, what are these extra strut plates? see pic... they look like mounts for a strut bar.

thay arnt that hard to find on the coast..... mitsubishi in gosford ( almost across the road from fleet sales ) have a black manual ralliart with 20ks for $30,000 and holden at pymble (only an hour down the road) have a white ralliart for only $25,800
At the time I was looking for a car, there were far and few inbetween. Especially ones that looked like this one. It was love at first sight. Mix that with my lack of knowledge on magnas.. I'm an ex hsv driver. I knew where to find them, what to look for, all the ins and outs.. It comes with owning or knowing someone with the same type of car.
Unfortunatly I was all alone (until now :) ) in the magna series. Im slowly learning!
Yeah, aussiefleetsales only gave a 3 month\5,000 km warranty. I don't know why. It doesnt bother me really, I'm selling it in a year. Pretty much any dealer will pad their gain and offer the customer less. There's always a better deal elsewhere, but I needed a car at the time ASAP, and also couldnt take time off work.
I dont drive long distances with it, I work 15 minutes from where I live.. Soon to be 5 minutes away. So the car isnt getting abused.
Im keen to come on thoes cruises in NSW also!

Post some pics! Im really keen on seeing something similar to mine, So far I havent seen anything identical! IM ALONE!! lol :D

Loking at the colour of the top of the radiator and the messy welding at the front of both fenders I would guess that the car has been front ended.
Have a good look under the front bar on the plastic undertray panels for signs of overspray.

Those seats are the standard VRX Seats with the leather option available in blue or black. Nice car by the way.
