hey guys, coupla questions about my TH i just picked up
i'll post pics soon btw ;)

first off, the dash kind of has these streaks on it, like someone tried to clean it but didn't do it properly. only problem is, the streaks are on the inside of the glass!?!?!? (or plastic, whatever)

anyone else have/had this problem?
do I have to remove the centre console and dash to fix this?

secondly... the car is due for its 150k logbook service.. and i have two options. either take it to a local mechanic who i have used before and trust... or I can take it to a mitsubishi dealer for it. the mechanic is booked out until Monday so I was going to take it to a dealer instead, at least that way they would probably know the car a bit better so can check out all the little bits and pieces?

lastly... does it really make that much of a difference getting a full catback exhaust system, rather then just replacing the rear muffler with a straight thru design? (like lukey lr2779)

It should be pretty easy to pull apart.. and u dont need to pull out all the dash to get to it.. or the center console.. just a couple of screws in the top and pop the black casing out, then the cluster comes out altogether.. cant remember if theres a couple more screws or if the glass just pops out... It is very simple though..

Take it to mitsubishi if you like writing blank cheques to them. Your mechanic should be fine IMO.

hehe those streaks are pretty dodgy :S did you not see it when you drove it? but yer, i doubt u will even need to buy replacment glass, just reclean it, she'll be riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

What's the deal with it being glass? It's clear hard plastic the last time I checked. Unless I got the Ford version or something...plastic fantastic. :D
