Im wondering if any of you could tell me a few things.

Whats the best power anybody has gotten from a 6G72 SOHC 12V. turbo or N/A?

Im wanting to keep mine N/A and with a swag of RPW goodies whats the best N/A power output i could expect from the following...

http://www.rpw.com.au/Products/Intake%20Systems/V6%20Manifold%20Kits.htm
the more expensive version withTwin 52mm Edelbook Cast throttle bodies.
A set of RPW extractors mated to a good exhaust with a high flow cat
A K&N pod filter on a cold air intake
And a good aftermarket computer
It would still be an auto (yuck i know) but id replace that later down the line.

EDIT - if theres anything else that I would need please point it out.

Fairly expensive sack of kit I know. Im still in concept, I dont get my licence back for 2 months yet and when I do the verada needs new shocks (so im gonna lower it then too) and a new set of wheels before I touch the engine. The DOHC conversion sounds like a good idea but then sourcing other parts for it would be a total wench of a job. if I could get good power from the stock engine without forced induction id like to do it. if only for the fortune it will save me on insurance.

Add cams to that list

What you want to do is make a High compression engine (only for N/A use).

on the sohc 12v i don't think 140kw at the wheels would be out of the question, you'd make the most power from the twin throttle bodies and i'm not sure how much you could gain have heard they are good for 40hp in 3rd gens....

I'd be getting an engine balance and port and polish in there as well.

the efi 3.0 litre already has a comp ratio of 10.0/1 according to my owners manual.
so all that would only yeild an extra 20kw? thats a bit low considering the amount of cash spent.

i was talking at the wheels, the 120kw in the owners manual is at the fly.
If you added the other stuff the other guys added who knows, big difference between stage 1,2 and 3 cams, port and polishes and all that plus it has to be reliable and and able to stop...i don't know maybe 160kw atw's and that would ****ing fly, mid/high 13's...you can up your compression with the right pistons and conrods etc to about 12:1 easily, i know ****e all about raising compression though

I know everyone wants the combination of high yeild, low cost and good reliablity.

I want the verada to look like just another family sedan with a set of wheels and low springs. which is why im going N/A. I had a feeling cams and a port and polish would need to go in there too, i think those will be step 2.

what do the SOHC engines put to the ground in standard trim?

i don't know exactly but the 140kw 3rd gens make about 105kw atw's so about 90kw atw for these 120kw should be around there....oh and auto verada--->stall converter so you can launch like or better than a manual.

unichip looks like they have about 95kw at the treads before and with basic mods and a chip get 110.
