Was wondering if anyone has done this to a 3rd gen wagon.
I've had probs with rear trim rattles up the wazoo as the 6x9 speakers are just bolted up as the originals, behind the trim panel stealth style.
Atm the trim panel is out again while searching for a way to keep it on solid for the up-teenth time, although it will be out for a while now cause I got the sh*ts and broke the sucker.
I've tried foam tape and other anti vibe stuff to no avail although I think the main prob was with the trim itself not clipping in properly, and/or staying clipped :doubt:

Any ideas or tips would be helpfull. Also if anyones done a speaker install in front of the trim panel some tips with this would also be cool.
Gotta get me a new interior panel first I spose

I did a mates 3rd gen Wagon and we also discovered the rear panel was as rattley as hell,
We were going to make a Whole New section using 5 mm Fibre Board and use Rubber washers under all the screws and see if that helped.. We also stuffed Old Shirts and A few small pillows in there to reduce the rattle but never really got around to it...

paint on deadener works wonders for things like that. put it on plastic etc and in a day it is solid as a rock and bye bye vibrations/resonance.

Best i've used is Sound Off. $55-65 for a tub which has enough to do two door trims and with plenty left over.

Peace

Hi guys,

I know this is an old thread but can some one give a step by step gidd to removing the trim without braking the sucker.

I want to change the 6x9s and also need to fix the rear wiper.

Cheers

Matt

You can always go out and get 6x9 boxes?

Yeah, I'd love to know how to remove it as well. I wanna line the space up, theres a minor rattle in there.
