I've got a TN Sedan, with no radio whatsoever.

Any recommendations for it? I'm not up for massive doof power, but I prefer some fidelity.

Budget's about $300, though I could use the existing head unit from my station wagon.

Sell it and buy a TR or TE !!! LOL !!!

TN have very hard to get at Fronts which if they have been in the sun may have deteriorated..

An Entry Level Pioneer Deck will do the job nicely...

Rears, could be upgraded to 6 inch on the rear shelf, Once Again an Entry level 2-way 6inch by Clarion or Sony or Pioneer would have you happy..

Thats a Basic system...
Since I have never operated on a TN, hopefully a TN owner could suggest Front Door Speakers as long as their are Holes Provided for them in doors..

There aren't from factory. Pulling the dash out isn't a problem, as I'm putting a fuel injection computer in, and the associated harness.

Yeah, Pioneer DEH-P2750MP and two new front speakers. Nice clean sound without breaking the bank. :)

Cutting Metal from the doors can end land you in big trouble as if your insurance company is told by accident investigators that you had metal cut from the doors reducing their impact absorbing ability, they will wash their hands from it...

Do not cut metal out of a car to fit speakers...its a big no no...
