Hi all,
Does anyone know the procedure for replacing the coolant in a 97 TF 3.0 ?
Mine is due for replacement and I thought I’d have a crack at doing it myself.
Many thanks in advance.

theres a little plug at the bottom of the radiator, take that off and out comes the old coolant, if looking at the front of the car its on the left. then use flushing fluid or fill it with the coolant cleaner thing, drain again and add new coolant....just a little tip....dont use tectaloy = trouble.....just from experiance, and a few others....mainly tectaloy 60, i think the 90 isnt quite as bad

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Is that the name of the flush or coolant that I should avoid?
Thanks

It's not hard to do yourself, you just have to make sure you get all the old coolant out, so that you dont get a nasty mix of coolants, trust me i am a Radiator tech.... Besides it make it so much easier to get some one else to did it....just make sure you use a coolant with a high gylcol % like type A coolant...most Radiator shops sell the coolant by the Litre so that would be your better option as most of the coolant you can buy at say Autobarn/Supercheap are ****....

I once used Vavoline Type A as a top up. The last time I had Mitsubishi do it, they didn't put enough in. The bottle was dry when I checked it.
