Hi guys!
Took my head unit out to solder the wiring (was twisted together b4) and now that it is back in my speed alert resets intermittently on startup (ie if I set the speed alert to 100km/h and turn the car off and then back on it will be back @ the 60km/h default) This only happens 8 out of 10 times, everything else electrical works fine :nuts:
Any ideas on how to fix?

I get a similar issue with mine, only it's 1/10 times that it resets... I got no idea with it. The only thing I can come up with is that my HU is grounded to one of the support thingies in the dash, which ultimately the speed alert is mounted to. That way, if the speed alert grounds through one of its mounting points, when the HU does something it might reset... :nuts:

But really I got no idea lol

yeah, happens to me too every so often....

so the speed alert re-sets to 60kmh..... big deal. I usually drive with it turned off (press both buttons at the same time and it beeps 3 times and goes away)

Yeah, but then the beeping gets replaced with whoop whoop and flashing red and blue :P

Thanks for the advice Travis...sound like I will prolly have to reground the wires...
man where I drive the roads are 70+ so having to reset it all the time and that goddam beeping is driving me crazy...gonna try and junk it if I cant fix it and wire up a proper trip computer from a TH-TJ...(dont no if this is possible though it cant be much harder than a Greddy Emanage ECU)

Did this fix anything Green?
