Don't laugh... I found an old mini-disc with it on.... gave the bass a good hit!

Usually a bit of everything for me, compilation discs like JJJ Hottest 100 do it for me.
Other than that a bit of AC/DC for sure....

If I had a car like the Mclaren F1 or a Ferrari F-50 the engine noise would be my music... :P

Good Underground Hip-Hop with myself or Hip-Hop head mates, or some funky breakbeat. Or Portishead, Massive Attack, etc.

With my mates who like to cruise, it's usually more RnB or House stuff. I'm not a huge fan, especially of RnB, but whatever... It keeps the mood going.

Trance and NRG are are awesome if im in the mood (getting ready for a big night, predrinks etc). My driving gets aggressive though.

I like all music that moves me.

But am yet to find any indi-rock, or heavy metal that i like...

Enjoi electronic, rnb, hiphop, rock, classical, jazz, ambient, chillout, dnb etc...

I find if i listen to something long enough it will grow on me.

Peace

Trash I like to listen to whilst driving include but is not limited to:

New Gorillaz toon Feel Good Inc (in my 8 track at the moment)
Jack Johnson (cruisy as)
Metallica
Dance toons

My taste in music varies so theres no one genre I like. If something sounds good I'll listen to it. But no hypo techno trash. :gtfo: That stuff makes you crash.

I've just got the Team america world police ost. It's the best, most funniest soundtrack i've heard, i can go on 4 hr drives with this in repeat and not get bored, it's the best stuff out. Lots of variety too, from classical to korean to electronic, to southern american, to rock!

A must for anyone who's immature like me.

Oh and there's a track where it sounds like grand enterance music for superhero's, excellent to pump up while driving makes you feel important. But don't pump up just before you stop somewhere or you might not have a system to pump anymore, sad but true.

these bands are acctually rather slow paced. Alot of people think my tast in music is realy weird not becasue i like Heavy metal but because i also love classical like Canon in D played on chello and violin, and also cavatina is snother great classical song, and also conte partiro by andreao bochelli (cant spell for Shiznat).

Also like TATU (for the music) (Awaits flame).

man i wouldnt know if they were in fat suits......i dont watch video hits or anything, full of gay rnb and rap. turned me off that show....anyway i might dl the video clip. i got all of rammsteins songs and like....nothing beats em. despite the fact of them being in german and i have have to bob my head up and down cause i cant understand what there saying. but Since im on my "L"s......cruising music is limited to the radio . ive heard alot of slipknots songs and ive tryed to like them....but its just yelling. i cant seem to see past that. Heavy Metal / Hardcore is the fastest growing music genre in Australia people. Be careful what you say, alot of people are sensative about music tastes, and have witnessed some massive arguments over it. Even if you dont like what other people listen too, dont just dismiss it as trash. Often people listen to what they best relate too.

danstraz
09-06-2005, 12:14 AM
I'm not so sure heavy metal and hardcore stuff is growing that quick... but I spose that depends on how you define it. Like pantera or slipknot or cog and karnivool... fair difference!

If any specific genre is growing heaps, I recon the dance music scene and in particular breaks, house and funky house. I listen to anything good but mostly triplej who play a good variety of new music. Can't stand too much commercial stuff like RnB, sorry magnat. Even the ministry 2005 annual has been played to death on most stations.

The living end, ACDC and most good rock, most dance music (house, trance, breaks, dnb), jurassic5, too many to list but they're probs top. Prodigy- voodoo people always makes me drive too fast! :D

Meh
09-06-2005, 12:25 AM
depends on my mood on my music
if im in a bad mood then heavy music, slipknot, soulfly, machine head, pantera, korn
good mood then more hip hop and new age music,
depressed mood, more slower kinda music
relaxation mood, relaxation music like the pure moods cd n stuff

dont really hate any music, i like most of it

Meh

alot of it isnt on the charts because bulk of society doesnt like it, and Rage and stuff goes on the amount of singles sold so just because its at number one doesnt mean its the most popular,
i rekon slipknot or pantera could more then fill a stadium full of fans

i dunno, i mix my cruising music up alot , some favourites include, A perfect circle, Tool, Rage against the Machine, Metallica, Opeth(so very good), Karnivool, cog, hiltop hoods, pearl jam, nivana, etc. etc.

oh yeah, also some rap, mainly wu-tang clan, gravediggaz, dizzy rascal, snoop, eminem etc.

If you guys want some heavy metal, you should listen to dimmu borgir, 6 feet under etc. that is heavy.................. pantera isn't even what you would call "heavy", i mean u could call it that, but then you would have to call heavy metal......DEATH metal heheh

But Meh, Scooter and Ultra sonic will fill a Stadium alot quicker... Scooter held a Concert in Rotterdam park and that is way bigger then a Stadium..
Happy Hardcore, Trance and Dance fill nightclubs more often then Heavy Metal.. Ragers cannot move to Heavy metal and since Head banging hasbeen proven to reduce the number of Brain cells in a Heavy metal mosher..
The Night clubs play the music to which the People can Move to.
R&B and Rap have taken off as it is been featured in so many movies from Boys in the Hood to 2fast 2 Furious and since we all know the Car Mod scen has taken off since these movies have been released..

Trance and Happy Hardcore is having a major Boom at the moment...Not many Metal Bands have their stuff played on air which boost sales which boosts the Boom...

Everyone has different tastes, but when it comes to Car audio, R&B and Dance contain more Beats to fully test out the Audio spectrum then say a Heavy metal Song with some guy screaming out in audible noise...
Classical is better still as most of the recordings contain full range frequency's from lows to highs, but you wouldn't be caught dead cruising down the main street with Bach Playing at full ball..
