i just got a set of pacemakers and a redback cat-back put on last week, and after a day of driving it developed a metallic tinny noise inbetween gears or whilst idling and giving it a few revs, (it happens when coming down from the rev)
ive heard some systems make a buzz or somthing..but this is definatly not a buzz
is somthing wrong with the cat converter or flex pipe???

One of the gaskets might have busted itself.. happened with my RPW extractors because the supplied gaskets were rubbish.

mine does this, i think its the flex pipe...

it used to make a weird noise kind of like a wastegate, that turned out to be my flex pipe had a big rip underneath it

So it didnt just happen to me RPW yay! Was in Wee Jasper about 4 hours from Sydney and the gasket broke. The car sounded like a 30's biplane (red baron) was quite annoyed but sounded like an F1 over 5000rpm. Maybe flex pipe/gasket.

yer i have the same kinda noise well i think, mine only happens when in high revs.(changing gears or sit and rev)

i posted up a while back but no one came up with a idea, but it sounds like the same problem you've got. be interesting to know what exactly it is.

but it doesnt sound like a red baron

I have replaced the Flexi pipe, and it made no difference, it sounds like a small turbo woosh at high revs or changing gears, it still sounds the same, i just think iits the noise it makes... but help would be good

No, but on an Astron, the busted gasket makes a cool roaring sound...
