Anyone interested in Dummy Driving Lights made from vac moulded ABS plastic to sit in the standard Gen3 bumper position. Sure they don't work but at least you wont cry if one gets broken ;)

Intend to be a screw driver installation only. Designs are still in the air. Price unknown. What are people willing to pay. Is this worth the time and effort?

what the hell is the point? i'd rather save the money, add a bit more and get real lights installed lol

Would this be a custom design plastic mould?

I am not particularly interested in the dummy fog lights, but I've been planning in my head to make some custom fog lights similar to the Holden Monaro CV8 design, but I need some plastic moulds :)

i wouldnt mind a mould to fit some round foggies in their but that would involve cutting the exisitng bumper and that sounds too much like hard work

I don't think its a bad idea, I purchased and fitted the genuine fogs a while ago, and have never used them - no fog for ages...

Cannot use them any other time (legally, unlike those ricer wannabes who drive around with them on on clear, still nights...)

Reminds me of a fog light definition I came across some time ago.. something like..

Fog Lights - Unseemingly bright lights designed to dazzle on-coming traffic, usually deployed in clear conditions to indicate the driver's brain is in a fog.

So that's a "no"?

Do you think you could draw up your ideas?

It would be essentially a vacuum moulded fog light look-a-like, screws directly into the correct position that those poxy 'funnels' or TE/F the filled grilled ovals. Can be made any colour including transparent. Could do a transparent outer main section with a white circle or something stuck behind it etc to simulate at light. Just ideas at present, but certainly do-able.

transparent would be the go....I would be down for a set of these but without any white circle etc...

How much are the PROPER driving/fog lights anyway? I read last year that they were B.S. for price :(

Only expecting these to be $20-30 or so. That's my guess - not my firm price!! I haven't even spoken to my Plastic dude about these yet.

Fog lights from Mitsu are ~$250 each.
Lot cheaper to go aftermarket but I haven't seen one that looks good yet because they always look out of place.
If you can make some moulds, why not do some lights that work, but with different designs, moulded to fit 3rd gens. If people wanna use them as fakes then they can do that but I think most people are after foggies that work.
