yup..

you can get the springs compressed professionally.

or you can go the better and more expensive route and get custom springs made

yer i rang and spoke with them
how ever they will only do it if u get lowered suspension to suit, they wont make them so low that they wont fit in

I once asked a suspension guy the question on how to get lower than superlows... his response was to get custom made springs. he advised not to go down the compression path as they would not last long - you would be compromising the spring integrity.

nothing wrong with spring compression

slightly rougher ride and like anything redone after factory it will prolly be weaker THAN CUSTOM or original ones but some people talk like they would snap in your car

never had a compressed spring drop or sag and i must say my car has compressed springs and considering my shockers are ****ed they drive really welll.

Thanks for that info. I'm not mechanically minded and can only go on what the "Pro's" tell me and what I read here.
I was told they would sag, hmmm

I was also interested in this as I would like to lower my other car (2002 Tarago). Seems that there are not many family car owners who want to lower their Tarago - as all the spring manufacturers don't make off-the-shelf lowered spring for it. (and we thought Magna mods were hard to get - try looking for Tarago mods !!!) Quote for custom springs was looking at $750 for the height of superlows. :doubt:

mmmmm
a lowered tarago..........i just pictured what that would look like, i recon it would look good, especially if you put some big ass rims on it. Then again everythink looks good lowered with rims.
mmmmm, you'll be one of the first people with a PIMPIN tarago :D

Not wanting to take over this thread - but gotta share these with ya'all...
The Blue one is in Australia - the others are in Japan - In Japan there are LOTS of modded Tarago's. sigh.

i say just get ur current ones compressed...saves u getting completely new springs.

i think it has something to do with how they exactly 'compress' it....like it depends on how much they heat it up, how long they hold it at particular temperatures, the rate at which the cool it, etc etc..

learnt a bit about it in materials engin'...can't remember anyhthing...stuff about quenching, eutectoid crap, steel becomes brittle, but harder, alpha phase this...grain size crystal structure ice cream... :doubt:
