Hi guys.. quick Q I couldn't find the answer to in search..

How much are the casings for TH tail lights and can you buy them individually?

Reason I ask.. car rolled back into a tree after reversing.. this evening and I've got a nice hairline crack down my back drivers side tail light..

I thought they were a sealed unit but I have seen some pictures where someone has managed to get the lens away from the body...

I just looked on Ozeparts http://www.ozeparts.com.au/ and for some reason there are 2 seperate items but they look the same to me... both are stating around $200 - $220 per tail light assembly. Pretty pricey! someone here might have a spare they can sell you hopefully. Otherwise I would be trying to find a decent wreckers in your state.

If your not image fussy the TF lights are like $80 new. Same size, not as bling bling though..

If I'm not image crazy I can keep the crack ;)

It's only the outside bit of red plastic.. I imagine the sockets and everything underneath are fine.. however it's probably one sealed unit .. (anyone pulled theirs off to see?)

$200 for one.. cor.. that can't be right!

When I get a spare 5 minutes (yeh, sif) I'll have to ring the wreckers and see if they can help me out.

By the way, what models apart from TH had these lights?

Just the TH's as far as I know... TJ is next model on and you will really need the boot to match... Out of interest why don't you phone up MMAL and ask what it would cost to buy a new one from their spare parts dept... might be worth a call.

Or go to your nearest panel repair shop and ask where they would get one from if they had to replace one and how much would it cost.

Just trying to think of ideas.... but I am thinking a reputable wreckers might still be the go here.

tha TH's are a little smoother, and have a different shape to the reverse light/brake light section
