Brake bias is always towards the front for us.

However am I correct to say that you are using the solid disc brakes from the rear of the 3rd gen and putting them onto the rear of your 2nd gen? If so, it is quite pointless unless your current brake setup on your 2nd gen is defective because they are both 258mm discs.

brakes(calipers and rotors) are off of a 97 TF -- dont the 3rd gens have better calipers then the 4cylinder 2nd gens

ok i've just been through all this with mal, who is an expert on 2nd gen stuff.

Basically V6 rotors (2nd and 3rd gen) are bigger than the 4's, but the same size as each other. The main difference is that the 3rd gen's have different mounts, so putting 3rd gen rotors on a 2nd gen, is gonna need some modification, whereas if you just got V6 brakes off a 2nd gen, it's pretty much just a straight swap. Replacing the back brakes is going to have very minimal effect on braking, it's the front brakes you wanna replace. But you will see improvement, i dont think there are any negatives to what you are doing as long as it get's done properly :).
