I found these 7in widescreen lcd's on ebay its a little bit of a gamble but the guy has a VERY good seller rating. They dont look 2 bad but i have no idea HOW i would mount them into the back of the headrests. would this be a hard thing to do, they have a mounting bracket on the back but no real car "kit".

The cost is in USD and ill explain the costs as well because you might be able to tell me if these are also too expensive. i recon they are about AUD250 bucks cheaper than most people are selling them here.

AUD130 = 88USD cost of LCD

USD88 + USD29 s/h + USD$7.58 billpay = USD$124.58

Convert that into 0.64c AUD$ = 195.70 [rounded] + 10% gst if customs bother = $215 [rounded] + 1% mastercard fee = 216.50 [rounded]

AUD$216.50!!! i cant even find ones here for under 400 jaycar have them for 429.00. what do you guys think?

its actually VERY easy. and it will work. cos i checked out my headrest and they use the same material and the insides of their demo and the insides of our headrests are the same!! Vola!

These are NOT GOOD QUALITY!!!!!!
They are only PASSIVE Screens... not TFT look at teh nuber of pixles and you ll see that the image quality will not be great and also you will onyl see the image from straight on and if there is alot of light you wont be able to see it at all.
Will be ok for night time.

BTW there are alot of them forsale on eBay and I have bought some before but do a search for +TFT +LCD -laptop -notebook -camera and see what you get.... once you see the results on the left hand side you can click on the link that says Completed items... it will give you a list of the ones sold in the past 30 days.... to give you an idea of a good price to pay

remember the old laptops that you could only ever see em from straight on! whats the point then of having a coulourd light in your car thats mounted in the middle yet noone except the dude at the back centre seat can see properly!!! :P
