Have a good hot shower (opens the pores in your skin) and scrub off the fibres with a nail brush - then a cooler shower (for the scratches)

Try fitting insulation in the ceiling of your house :(

hahhaha, yeah, my old man told me to use dough. uno, roll up a bit of flour and water into a ball and roll it around on ur skin, after a hot shower....apparently it works.

about 3 hours on prep and first 2 layers (then moved it out), then about another 2 doing additional layers, then today.. about 2 hours with the sander and grinder

u can prolly do about 4 or so layers in one sitting, before u should leave it overnight before doing more

thats for 2 sides together

well i did plan to start studying for my exams today.. but... meh =]

worked on the left side today.. cut it all to specifics, and decided on placment of sub (own attempts at mdf ring making), and popped the fabric over it to see how it would go. Chucked it in the boot, and thought.. pretty good, but then i saw the dreaded boot hinges! and yer... it would of been fked if i had left it with the sub sitting futhur back

so anyway.. took of the fabric... rearanged sub placment, and popped it closer to the front, and adjusted the angels so it still looks good, and works =] even better there i think.. but it has made me want to put an extra set of 8" in the same box :S but slapped myself out of it.

the pics of just the fabric over it is where i originally wanted to put the sub.. the others are where i finally put it (and chucked on a layer of resin + hardner so i can fiberglass the front part tomoz).

opinions would be great =]

more after todays work... put some putty with fiber strands and harder to smooth out major bumps, and do a little more styling, and started the sanding (after these pics were taken)... gonna take a lot of sanding to get it smooth

=]

hmmmm thats a HELL of a lot of BOG!!

I was thinking...after u layer it up with glass, can't u just dab on an extra layer of resin over the top? it should fill in a few gaps n stuff.

Bog is expensive :P anyhows, enjoy the sanding!!! lol whats that gonna be..like, 30 metres of sand paper?!?

ah nah nah.. thats all fiberglassed on the front aswell (2 layers), and just used 1/2 a jar (about 100ml) of fiber filling .. worked a treat. you cuold use a layer of resin, but if its not the shape u want , or u have major dents, it wont fix a thing =]

edit* 3mm is max length for this fiber filling stuff.. ive never used bog. but i think its like the same thing.. so yer.. if u plan on doing this eek, bog is a no no ;)

putty...bog..whatever, it fills stuff lol

as for the resin part, what i meant was like, after u've put on like, 4 layers or whatever, before u put the bog, putty or sand, put abother layer on..

but but

that would be pointless :S.. u put that final layer of resin (or aroldyte + hardener) once youve totally finished absolutley everything

so i been told :|
