Yup, its running XP. Got a 40 gig, and 38 gig is full of mp3s, and i cant even get any videos on it now so im gonna get an 80gig this sunday at the swap meet.
At the moment its only running a PII 300mhz haha, its all i had around the house with spare parts but im going to pick up a nice P4 at the swap meet.

Even with the Pentium two, which is bloddy histroric it boots up in 20 seconds.
Thats the magic of nLite and minlogon.

With the P4 and using hibernation, ill be able to go from power off, to power on and music play in about 5 seconds.

Also ive got some gps software so i need to buy the antenna now.

Interesting project... where is the motherboard going to be mounted... and are you re-wiring a PSU from the battery or something... surely the power will be a tricky one?

Okai this is what ive done, power cable from battery into boot to distributor block.
From the distributor the power goes to my two amps and the inverter.
Now im going to run a ACC remote wire to a relay that will be hooked up to power wire between the inverter and the distributor.

So car turns on, relay switches over, inverter is powered up which powers up the comp.
The computers psu is hooked up to the screen so the screen automatically turns on.
And im either going to use a 12v from the comps PSU or just the same acc wire going to relay for the remotes on the amps.... easy.

So when the keys are put into the car, everything turns on and powers up all by itself lol

And the mother board is going to be mounted in the boot, im gonna make a nice clear case the mother board will be screwd into, and this case will be screwed down in the boot.
