I'm gunna be replacing my speedo cable this weekend and i was hoping someone has done this and might be able to offer me some guidance?

but the missus is hasstling me about the $33 bux its gunna cost me to replace.. i guess im glad i didnt tell her the price of the genuine one! ($128 from Hutchison Mitsubishi, Mildura)

got a few other maintenance jobs to do on the old girl this weekend... new oil (engine & g/box) and a radiator flush with some nice new coolant.. ohh and the speedo cable.. so i know how much i'm speeding by =P

anywho!!!

any help greatly appreciated!

to R&R speedo cable in a TR or TS.

remove instrument cluster,
unclip cable retainer from dash and pull cable out toward the steering wheel
unscrew other end from gearbox speedo drive
remove retainer clip from speedo end of cable (might break but is reuseable)
free the fire wall grommet and pull speedo end through dash and firewall

Refit is reverse
