OK

In the latest craze and hype about removing intake resonators, I've decided to take mine off too, just to see what the excitement is all about.....

Now, being a complete mechanical n00b, I took a look at my snorkel and thought...OFMKHKHTIK, how do I take it of without breaking the clips with it?

Now I've asked a few ppl, and they are a little confused, so I've attached some photos so u will know what I'm talking about.

See where the snorkel connects to the top of the radiator? the one furtherest away from me i know how to take out, but its the one in the middle, and closest to the camera I'm not sure how to rip out...

Basically, I want to know how to get rid of them little round plugs without snapping/rendering them useless.

mate all u gotta do is push the center bit down and that will realise the lock then simply lift them up

push the centre cirlce in then with a screwdriver softly pry it out, it'll pop out no big deal, sometime u wont even need the screwdiver it'll pop out

ohh, ok, coz i looked at the centre bt and pushed it in...it went SNAPPP!!!

then i ran outisde and thought i broken something...how do i put it back together? coz with the one i did, when i tried to put it back together, the centre bit was like all loose n stuff.

hahaha ive got like 2 left out of the 6/7 :P

i know what i did the first time, i punched the crap out of it and snapped the plastic things....i only have 1 broken one, phew...i love u clarionmagna and bigg_will u can come back to my place :badgrin:



ok, since i want to do the grill too...neybody think it would be a good idea to cut off the two plastic parts in the bottom corners, because if i want to mesh it up, it will look like poo being in the way...if not, well, it should still hold in, with the middle clip and 3 top ones won't it?! its a TF grill.

I would leave all the clips there. I have one broken one on mine and it refuses to sit straight.
Mine is a top one tho... bottom MIGHT be different. :doubt:

Just do what i did.. Get the shiites and snap them off... :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

so whats the deal with the one under teh snorkel? do u just drill out the rivets and take it off?

any ideas on plugging it up? lol
