just thinking what MMAL best ever motor is,

if someone was to do a swap.

i realized that i couldnt think of any really good performance motors with strong internals.

Please prove me wrong.

I would like my chances with a 3l MIVEC or the never seen MIVEC 3.5l

Are we talking MMAL or Mitsi father company? Cause if it's MMAL it's a fairly good effort coming up with any motor, ford and holden borrow heavily on their parent companies and design very little themselves, the barra 4.0 6 is probably the closest to aussie.

If it's Mitsubishi then the Evo 2.0l definately :)

would use the same pistons and rods as the 4G63 (so there are plenty of forgies available) so it would be a 3L jobbie.....

um seriously tho has mitsubishi ever produced a V8? or is a V6 the biggest engine that mitsubishi has produced (btw i am talking mitsubishi, chrysler engines done count)

Mitsubishi have produced V8's in trucks and concept vehicles (pajero rally car) i think....if that counts :P

bugger its a truck V8 :( but hey if it could be converted into a decent performance car V8 then i really think mitsubishi should work out how to shove a north south gearbox in the new gallant and make RJL25 a rear drive V8 :)

while their making RLJ25 his, they can also produce Aspec one, I would be quite happy owning one.

a while back there was rumours of MM joining the V8 Supercars, however to do this they need to create a 5L 32Valve V8 in a production car.

so maybe they will be looking into it, although as fuel prices rise, many people seem to be buying more fuel INEFFICIENT cars so yeah maybe itl happen.

Every Jap site that had anything to say about the 6G74 MIVEC stated power to be 280PS (Metric horse power) wich wourks out to be about 206kW, nothing special, but I'd imagine torque to be strong over a large rpm band :P
