**** man...take a chill pill. If you took your time and did a search you'd find that Booya fitted a 70mm ford throttle body on his V6

Valid point KB. Occasionally I login to AMC after a week long break - due to being busy at work. 24 hrs ain't much for ppl who have some ideas to reply.
Not that I know anything about Falcon TBs anyway - so why did I reply....
What comes to posting similar or same matters should not be judged too harsly. We have plenty of memebers doing new mods weekly - hence one would expect new ideas appearing quite frequently. But, yee.....

ive heard of people using XF throttle bodies on V8's, so yeah if they flow well enough for a V8 they must be pretty good for a V6 you would assume..

Yes and no. It depends on whether out factory unit is the right size. An engine will only suck in soo much air. If you fit a TB that's too big then it's quite possible the end result is WOT is effectively moved to say 80% throttle opening and no power gain anywhere in the rev range. It needs to be tested. Bigger isn't better by default.

Basically installing larger bore TB will only help if the std TB is restrictive in this particular engine application. What u said about gaining max power with say 80% throttle would be the case then.
Obviously, using larger TB u would need to enlarge the plenum opening nicely and ensure there are no steps etc at all. Would that be possible - I haven't studied. Dunno how much up could one go.
There are formulas to calculate all these kind of things, when we know engine displacement, power band, bore vs stroke etc etc specs. One can also design a perfect exhaust with such calculatons - and it would be way differnt to current std pipes in Magna (which b-dy suck - unlike the engines, they get filled by air pressure... :) )
Unfortunately I don't have that book any more - lost it years ago....
Also - how would the idle motor work when used in different than original car? It's all progged in to the ECU, isn't? Unless re-progged ECU is used? I think so.
