Hey there Paj.

There is nothing at all wrong with the 1999 KH model. No obvious faults.
Some of the earlier 1996 model Veradas had some Transmission dramas but they were all well and truely sorted out bu the KH model.

They are a greal all round reliable car. Enough pace in them to keep you happy, but also very quiet and comfortable at the same time. They have got a fairly good stock sound system in them.

I've got 120k's on mine and still runs like new. All i have had to do to it is change the discs and pads. Have done other mods to it but by my choice only.

hey champ iv got the 97 KE model and iv got no problems with it, think its a great car has a lot more options than an equivilant commo or falcon and is a great car to drive. Iv also lowered mine with sports suspension to take corners a bit harder and put mags on it, but even stock they are a great car and im sure youll love one when you get it.
cheers

Pros:
Very comfortable, lots of toys to play with on the Ei never mind the Xi, smaller outside then a Commodore or Falcon with similar room inside and very good value, try and find a similar vintage Calais or Fairmont Ghia for the price of a Verada.
Cons:
Lower resale may hurt when you sell it, more expensive to service then a Ford or Holden. Hard to pick the ends of the car, more so with the 5mph bumpers. Can bottom out and scrap the under carriage easier then Ford and Holden.
Personally I think the Verada is very under rated in Australia. They are a rival to the likes of Audi, BMW and the like in America with almost the exact same spec we get here so at the prices you see here you would be mad not to go for one. As a matter of interest, I bought my 2003 Verada EI Wagon for under $30,000 after similar age Falcon and Commodore, XT and Exec level, would have cost us $2,000 to $3,000 more before the trade.
