My 2.4 TF's speedo gets to 80kph and then won't go any faster. The speed alert still works ok. Does anyone have a diagram of the speedo electronics?

It sounds like the actual meter might be jammed. Open the instrument cluster and see if you are able to push the needle past 80km/h mark.

Could it be a sticking speedo cable by chance?

I am thinking it is more a physical/mechanical fault than electrical.
