honestly don't risk it boys. I just got my RPW extractors running properly today and it only cost me $300 to get them fixed
1-custom gasget installed which then blew out - $85
2-No O2 sensor so it had to be installed - freebie, thanks superior automotive
3-rear bank headers removed, flanges re-machined and a custom gasget made - $215

$670 bolt in and burn away has now cost just under $1,000 and almost 2 months of shitty driving.

Be careful boys, this ****-up could hit your pocket as well.

   YES I'M ****ING PISSED OFF!!!

Yeah I was afraid to hear reports like this which is why I didn't put down a deposit.

Hmm maybe I need to revisit the Pacemakers. I hear they have a new tuned length design?

Killbilly i know that your extractors are leaking so if and when you get yours repaired, i'll give you the gasget

Thanks Jason!

I'm going to take it to Windsor Exhaust Centre 2morrow and get them to have a look.

Hey where did you take your car? And do you have a rough idea on how much an O2 sensor will cost?

I was listening to mine more today..since my centre console is out I can actually hear it more...so is it leaking down near the flex pipe or at the block? I had a look at them closer too..and the gasket isnt even on properly by the looks of it!

I'm gunna have a chat to Dave, It should've been done right the first time, I also should've checked all this stuff when it was done, but I didnt know WHAT to check as I'd never had extractors before and I assumed that it was supposed to sound like that.

Oh well...I'll tell him what's going on so he can rectify it and save anyone else having problems.

Im sorry I didnt find these probs before you got yours TZA :(

I wish these problems were sorted out before we started distribution of these extractor systems... oh well all the flaws appear to have been fixed.

Is there anyone who has the RPW 6G74 extractors? Did/do you have any problems?

I do wish I found these probs before anyone else bought any!

Though I dont consider it my fault at all because I didn't make them and really it's not up to me to fault find. It's up to the manufacturer when they designed them. They had the car for 3-4 days, they had the time to get it right and they could've had it longer if needed.

Oh well. The problems will be sorted and TZA and I will send our findings to Dave, hopefully it will be remedied.

To clarify for everyone - the problems these people are referring to is related to the new systems for the older 3.0 12v vehicles.

The O2 sensor we found out as the fitting was not welded into the flex pipe and I still have not seen a 3.0 12v vehicle in my shop recently to source the position of the stock O2 sensor so I can weld the O2 sensor plug onto the car.

The 3.0 / 3.5 24v engines we have never had any issues with fitment and the new systems being made will be test fitted in my shop first before being sold to ensure there are no fitment issues like the 3.0 12v systems had.

I am still not sure what the problem is these people are having - I have seen some photo's but are still unsure. I think until I fit a set myself locally here I will never really know.

The race design system is being made now as we speak firstly on the new magna AWD vehicle then to follow up on the FWD vehicle.

We are planning on making the one design to fit both vehicles or if necessary, the same headers and maybe two different flex pipes.

We should have the first prototypes here by the middle of next week to try onto a local car to check them out - and I already have some test fitters already before anyone asks.

Like any new product there are sometimes minor issues and we do try to catch them out whenever possible. The thing is - we have sold at least 8 sets of the 3.0 12v systems and only have had one report of a fitment issue so we have to work out whether it was just one set that had a problem or is there some other variable we don't know about.

As I said before Dave, I'm sorry I didnt notice this problem earlier...I just assumed that extractors would must make a different sound.

Yeah but i'm still $300 out of pocket because of your manufactuers stuff up with recipts to prove! I'm a bloody apprentice making no money and trying to mod my car, and i would of prefered a kick in the teeth than to cough up money to have this shit fixed
