Hey all
a mate of mine owns a 2.6 sigma, he just got it last week,
it has a race cam in it, and a 32/36 webber on it (180 holley)
it goes crasy up until about 1/3 way threw 3rd gear (its a manual)
then it just seems to lose the huge power burst it has

any ideas

First thing that springs to mind is that one of a few things just cant deliver enough of what is needed to maintain that power... such as fuel sending (like starvation)

What other mods does it have to support that amount of engine work?

Maybe you might just find that there just aint much more that engine and drivetrain can deliver above a certain rev range.

check the float level in the carb, and make sure the power jet (secondary) is not blocked, and that the vaccum lines for that circuit are hooked up and actually have vaccum

he has a 2.25 extractors back exhuast on it

wouldnt the flot level be useless though as its when hes driving so the chameber wouldnt have enoguht time to fill up?

like hyper TF said it sounds like fuel starvation. I would start by checking the fuel filter for blockages first then the fuel pump and inlet strainer (in carby), also check the float level as suggested but at idle, if it's starving like you have described then it probably won't even fill to the float mark at idle.
If that doesnt fix it look at the fuel lines for any hits and crushing. :doubt:
