I am thinking of upgrading my brake pads to better ones, as i've been told it's does stop better, and it's the cheapest way to go about it.
Can anyone suggest or have tried any performance brake pads? cheers!

I was very happy with the increased stopping power when I changed from stockers to bendix ultimates, unfortunately I cannot remember the original colour of my rims anymore they are permantly "shadow chromed" with dust.

They cant be as bad as my Lucas Racing pads.. the dust on them is shocking.. Least the bendix i dont need to do 5 laps of MT Panarama to warm them up and get them to work.. lol lol lol

Yeah bendix Ultimates are a great replacment to standard pads. Still feel like normal brakes but they bite much harder when pushed. Some pads give the brakes a totally different feel. Some need some heat in them before they work. Ultimates are a good all rounder. You will be satisfied with them. But as slayer says, rims go black very quickly but thats a small price to pay for good brakes.

Not that expensive. For memory i got fronts for round $100 and rears for round $80.

yeh, most replacement good brake pads seem to shed dust all the time!

EBC Greenstuff has a LOT LESS dust than Bendix. Brakes better too. email me if you want a price. Need to know car model and if you have ABS.

I use Bendix Advance and they dust bit less than Slayer's Ultimates. Hence I like drawing marks on his rims... :bowrofl:
But, they also seem to need more pedal force than Ultis do. Perhaps booster issue too?
As long as u don't use std pads u should be ok.
We paid around 140-150 for all 4.

Bendix here, dont really feel any extra stopping power but they actually last 10,000km unlike my OEM pads that would be gone when i got to 10kkm and i woudl have to get my rotors machined.

Had Bendix Ultimates, were very good. Also greenstuff is good but when you work them hard they smell like brown stuff.

Anybody who has used EBC Greenstuff will recommend them over Bendix products ANY day. If you want good stopping power and low dust - you will need to pay for it.

yeah you do pay for it. $95 for bendix ultimate or Greenstuff at $165. But less dust and won't fade or reduce in performance when it's hot. I have done a full season with Greenstuff, where as Bendix would be lucky to last a weekend. Good for streets if you don't mind the dust though.

Stupid bendix, my brakes were so overdue for machining and new pads i cant remeber what it felt like to have good pads so i think the Bendix Ultimates i got are good

all i kno is tha im cleaning my rims about every 2 days! dont want the brake dust to bake on
