hey guys, did a search on this, but we obviously haven't specifically covered it. Just wondering if any of you guys have one, or has a mate with a magna who has had it done. Or if you may know of an average price of this system. id prolly be looking at 2 lukey's with twin tips or the one this guy posted b4

would this probably have 1 resonator with 2 1/2 inch and then split off into two 2 inch pipes to the mufflers? how would this work? or wat is the best option? hopeing to do this for a future mod. and good for everyone to have a play with. Cheers

Twin exhaust meaning u have a muffler running out on each side of the car?
I've looked into that and frankly... even (for V6) by running 3 cylinders to a each muffler will not yield extra figures..
If you want to spend the money on making the car's rear end look nicer.. that's fine, but for me, the money spent on it is better off spent on power mods :D
Just my opinion

You will get very little, if any performance gain with a dual exhaust setup... Its more for looks...

I'd love to have dualies (one on either side) but dunno if I could justify the cost...and if performance will be inhibited by it.

Heya Trav,
I have looked into this and I will be getting dual twins in the next 6 months or so - just for looks and sounds rather than performance - mine is a little quiet for my liking.
There is two ways I have heard that you can setup the dual system on teh magnas - firstly is to split at the cat and run 2 2" piping systems down the car - to individual resonators and individual mufflers
another way is teh split the piping after the resonator into 2" piping and run it from there.
There is a guy from MOGWA (damned if I can reach him via email or anything) who drives a silver VR-X - he used to have a TEF or TF previous with a dual system and he mentioned a place who done his in Perth - and damned if I can remember the name of it!! Ahhh - don't you hate that!! haha from memory it was between 600 and 800 and he said it looked and sounded sweet!!
If i find him or remember more details - i will let you know!!

At our dyno day recently, my car with the Lukey out pulled a TH with dual pipes by 11hp. They are both 3.0l engines, he had a pod and I have a panel. In fact, I did a run later as a stock setup and it was almost the same as the TH, (.5hp more actually).

no, redavs car is an outlier, a statistical error which is overpowered :D
His 3.0 has been run in properly and looked after... Dont expect the same gains :p

Do whatever you feel you'd like to do to it as far as cosmetics go. If you care about performance, research it and find out what other people have done and saw what gains. Dual pips in Magna's are rare and the chances that they have been dynod are rarer. If you got the math right, there's probably no reason why dual pipes wouldn't give the same benefit on ones car.
My get feeling says to split it at the rear but you'd need to talk to a tuning or exhaust specialist. Try to talk to someone in the drag racing industry. I'm sure their primary pipes are that length for a reason. If they know why then they will probably can answer your question.
