Having just fitted Philips "Diamond Vision" H1 & H7 headlight globes ( they are a superb white light ) l now have the situation where the parking lights, by comparison, look almost yellow. They are so dull.

I've found "white/blue" LED park lights for sale on Ebay. I would be concerned about their legality. Does any-one know if they're OK to use?

i have Blue parkers, and well i have been warned about them and was told to take them out.
but these may be different to the ones that you are talking about.

Thats what mine look like when its dark and only the parkers are turned on, but if u have the headlights on, which is what you would have whilst driving at night its just a little blue dot.

edit: do u like my black grille aswell?

If you're looking for a nice 'white' light from the parkers, try Hella 'True Blue' bulbs, they are expensive but fantastic.

LED parkers aren't legal, and neither are the blue bulbs.

Hella True blue are very good though, and ADR legal.

Hella True Blue will do then.

There is nothing in the workshop manual about changing the "position globes" as they call them. I assume l get at them by removing the front cover. Assuming l'm right with that, won't l run the risk of not achieving a weatherproof seal when l'm finished putting the front cover back on?

Undo the screw and ease the light out, on my car the screw appears to be captive so I used it. The bulb holder unscrews like a normal tail light or similar light. I recommend you pull the bulb before you buy them as the Verada appears to have a strange bulb.

Yeah, I found that when i put my paras in for my TS. The bulbs type is H9 (Or bayonnet if it were a household bulb) as opposed to the wedge they normally use

Yes.....I should not be such a lazy bastard and actually have a look before posting. I'll take out the globe Saturday morning and check out Autobarn or Bursons.

On the subject of Hella "True Blue", l can't find any reference to them on the Hella website.

Turns out that there are no "brighter" globes made that match the Verada "parkers". The globes referred too above are approx. half the diameter of the Verada globes and between 6mm to 15mm shorter, depending on which type you are looking at.

So, looks like l have to settle for "bright" white headlights and dull yellowish parkers.
Incidentally, no-one at Autobarn or Bursons have heard of Hella "True Blue" globes.

Okay my bad, they are 'Cool Blue' and not 'True Blue'. Sorry guys.

I don't have a 3rd gen Parabolic housing, so I can't say what bulb housing/type you need.

But these are definitely not "yellow" coloured lights, so if you want something legal (ADR approved), then I urge you to try these bulbs out.

Oh and I couldn't get the Hella bulbs from Autobahn or Pep's, I had to get them through Coventry's.

The 3rd gen "position globe" as Mitsubishi like to call them are a 4W bayonet globe which measure 35mm from tip to toe and 15mm across.

I don't want to confuse anyone. When l say they are yellow, l don't mean yellow in colour but simply that compared to the Diamond Vision headlights, they are dull.

I think you'll find the "cool blue" range measure about 8.5mm across which is almost half the diameter of the globes l have now.

Thanks that all those that offered advice.
