For the last week, in the mournings (cold start) my tranny has not been shifting well. its very slow to get into gear (eg: 2 - 3 sec), and is unsure when and how to change gears (revs jump up between shifts, espescioly between 2 - 3rd gears).but after 2 to 3 shifts through each gear she seems fine (once shes warm). It happens on the way home from work too, but nowhere near as bad. it feels like the tranny is undergoing a ecu reset everytime i turn on the car. I have reset the ECU without any luck. I am going to leave the car with mitsi tomorrow arvo, and see what they say on fri morning after seeing what it does. If anyone has come accross this problem or has any ideas, please let me know as its getting worse everyday. I hope its not going to cost me much with my "extended" warrantie, but im not to sure about it, and have got a bad feeling bout this one
By the way i changed the tranny fluid 5000k's ago
Cheers in advance

Strange that you should say this. My mums car is doing the same thing. Its a toyota cressida. The mechanic said the transmission was stuffed.

Seeing your car is 2001 I dont see how yours is unless its had some serious thrashing or high k's. Let me know what they say about it.

My TJ Sports used to do that and i think the replaced some auto tranny solinoid? Don't know but it was better after that.

I also used Amsol Synthetic fluid and that helped the changes lots.
