With the power OFF and your key REMOVED from the ignition:
Unscrew the ISC motor with the TB etc still in the car. Make sure the wire loom is attached to the ISC. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the position just before the car starts. DO NOT START THE CAR. Just turn the key so the dash lights come on. Have a look now at the ISC (with the key still in the ignition at the abovementioned position) and see if the ISC is moving and making a noise. If it is, then it's ok - generally speaking.
I'm quoting this from memory so don't kick me up the a**e if it's inaccurate.

in another thread you said the car had done 55000km's, thats means its fairly close to its 60000k service, just take it in early and get the mechanic to check things out. If its not the idle controller like your saying then its extreemly difficult for us to help you as we have never seen the car

is your car an auto? if so, I had this problem with my old camira station wagon which has a lock up torque converter. It used to stall slowing down for traffic lights. I unplugged my lock up torque converter and the problem went away, plus now i have a **** load more power
unfortunately this is only my 2nd magna (2000 tj advance), my first was a TR S/e in gold, so im not too smart about magnas.
The problem was the gearbox wasnt releasing third gear I.E stalling as the revs dropped below stall point. now shes stops like a dream, even changes down gears as i slow down.
