I picked up mt new strut brace for my TJ last night and I have to say that I'm impressed. The car feels like it want's to go in a straight line now, highly recommend it. Cost me $194 delivered.

Good to hear, some people havn't given such positive feedback about the whiteline strut braces. At least its doing the job!

Yeah man...

The strut bar reduces the flex on the chassis and body and the difference in cornering can be felt the most. I always tell people to install a strut bar to compensate for the flex the engine mounts creates on the top of the engine bay..

Bood to hear u love it...

BTW, are the end yellow??? Coz mines yellow and it doesn't match my engine bay colour.... might pray it myself...

YEP, it's yellow.

I don't care about the colour to be honest, as long as it does what it's supposed to.

But the same colour as the car would be good.

I think making one will be the way to go lol

I have done a bit more, done the front end, ie suspension, bushes and shafts. Got hold of a Diamante cup holder, have a look at my tech tips section for pics lol, next will be either exhaust or Diamante Grille, headlights and corner markers. It is all $$$ and with a wife and son $$ come a bit harder lol. Cheers....

Yes the whiteline struts will fit a TH.

Madmagna - just keep spending money on the car until the wife complains your kids need shoes, then stop  ... for a while ...

Go to www.whiteline.com.au and call the 1800 (?) number they have. They'll give you part numbers, etc. straight away, and are fairly helpful.

I didn't think strut braces were really necessary unless you were putting the car through heavy cornering like drifting or something like that...? Someone explain this to me?

Well Basically, by having the strut bar mounted over the suspension mounts helps to reduce the body flex when cornering. It also improves structural rigidity, handling and steering response when cornering. It will create less stress on the body of the car too...

Hope this helps....

Every car needs one :P :P :P coz every car's gotta take corners in it's life.....

Its a good mod but really i can't justify it that much, i think its more for cosmetics of the engine bay... I know it does serve a purpose but you really have to be on the track to notice it a great deal ...

Thats just my opinion.

u dont need to be on a track to notice it - and it can help in emergency situations - when the idiot in front pulls out and you go to swerve - there is less chance of breaking traction if the car is setup properly and the strut bar helps with this - when i get the cash i will be getting one - but yes it does make the engine bay look nicer!!

I like it, and would spend the $190 or so bucks again on my next car. No good if that's the only suspension mod though, a bit of a waste of time.

suspension bits byt themselves really arent too crash hot - unlessu only have springs and it is a cosmetic - to lowe it - but when you start adding them together - springs, suspension, sway bar, strut bars, neoprene bushes!!

hmm - look you have a race car for the road!!

Mmm, interesting... Okay, I just thought that besides when putting the car through heavy cornering they weren't really needed... Thanks for that..

Mine is a new design for the TJ which replaces the previous one for TE-TJ. It's designed to fit on cars with something fitted to them, can't think what it is, maybe ABS or cruise, anyway whatever it is gets in the way of the older model bar, but the newer one allows for this obstruction and fits around it. Ends are still yellow though.

Well whatever it is... The strut bar serves it's purpose blake.. :o Yes it's aesthetical in the engine bay as well .....at least it justifies better than people putting other non sensical stuffs which they pay so much and doesn't do help to the car at all right?...  ... Safety first... aesthetics later... LOL... Not flaming anyone in here, just constructive arguments that we are having now ;)

Anyway... just my one cent worth of my opinion in this issue...
