Ok This isnt an urgent problem cause i still have a bit over 6 weeks till i can drive again, but im getting the car registered a bit ahead of time so i can try and get this power problem fixed.
Essentialy when i stomp the accelerator the power doesnt come on the way it should, it jerks and shudders. Now my mechanic (Sash at car doctors Adamstown) says its not the computer or the injectors, when i got the gearbox serviced the gearbox guy said it wasnt the gearbox.
Now It sounds like fuel system to me as its ok unless i stomp it. but you guys know this stuff better than me so im going to propose it to you.
what do you think?

Fuel filter clogged, when was it last changed? Have you put an injector or fuel tank cleaner in lately?
Have you been messing with your throttle body - I.e. removed/moved the Throttle Position Sensor?

yeh would have to be the fuel filter going off the info provided, had this prob in my old TP after a bad batch of fuel, replace the fuel filter and problem solved, took it for a lap around the block and it was as if it had never had a problem, will only cost you $30 max for a fuel filter, prob more like $10 id say iv got one at home i need to put in my verada when i get a round to it actually.
cheers

dont know when it was last changed, put a bottle of fuel cleaner through in early december, and TB hasnt been touched.

Usually put a cleaner thru the tank about a week before you change the filter - that way all the crud gets taken away when the filter is changed.
Any leaks in the vacuum, air inlet, pollution control hoses? If air is getting sucked or vacuum is escaping then the engine can stutter.

tell us more about the symptoms..... so power doesnt come on straightaway and not until you floor it, and then it comes in a big 'turbo like' hit? if that's the case, then try running a diagnostic. i betcha its your oxy sensor.

throttle in a bottle is only good for getting water out of the fuel tank.
Could be plugs, injectors, dist cap/rotor, leads etc.
I would put my money on injectors and plugs if they have not been done in a while. Magna's are known to be surgey when they have blocked injectors, the TE onwards has a slightly different injector to the traditional pintle type and are more prone to blockage.
I respect your mechanic said injectors are fine but get them ultra sonic cleaned anyway.
The fuel filter is infront of the rear left wheel underneath. It can be a bugga to get off, one end has a fitting you need to push and release. Have fun :D

the power is slugish even when im giving it to it slow, but its not as bad as when i give it a good stomp, then itshoves a bit then lets off a bit, surges again, lets off...
My memories of this are a bit iffy cause its been months since ive driven it.
